Myself…
Hi, my name is Soeren Jochim. I’m 24 years old and was born in the north of Germany (Bremerhaven). After passing the grammar school at
Johann-Gutenberg-Schule I visited Lloydgymnasium and completed the upper school there with a grade point average of 1.3 in 2005. My advanced courses were mathematics and english.
From 2006 to 2009 I was inscribed at DHBW Mannheim which offered me a dual study of information technology in cooperation with Siemens IT-Solution & Services. I took advantage of that opportunity and performed six phases of internship in three different cities (Frankfurt, Bonn, Munich). In the last phase I wrote my bachelor thesis with about recent it trends and their benefit for the company. With a grade point average of 1.8 I finished this part of my life and moved on. Now, I’m studying applied mathematics with minor subject geo science at University Treves.

The people I’ve met in my life always certified me certain abililties of logical analysis and knowledge transfer. Based on my current experiences in interdisciplinary subjects I’m trying to use these skills in this blog to emphasize connections I see between certain things and mathematics, information technology or other subjects that come to my mind.
The blog consists of seven areas I want to describe shortly:
- My Blog – Here I publish recent articles with no particular order. I write them as they come to my mind or as someone gives me a hint to do so.
- Browse – In this section I’m trying to sort the articles I’ve written to the main topics of this site which are mathematics, information technology, knowledge transfer and book reviews.
- Archives – All articles I’ve written ordered by date can be found and searched in this area.
- About – That is where you are. Here I give some information about myself and this blog.
- Contact – For those who have questions regarding this blog or who want that I give my opinion on a certain topic can use the options to reach me in this section.
- Forum – Questions to the main topics of this blog or to certain articles as well as comments on them can be answered and discussed in the forum.
- Filebase – Here I offer some downloads of documents or programs I’ve written.
